Cycling Tours in Rajasthan
7 days of Cycling Adventure from the "Suncity of Rajasthan" - Jodhpur - to the "Venice of the East" - Udaipur. The tour goes on calm country roads and is accompanied by the tour car. Each day's distance from town to town is different, but if someone cannot stay on the saddle any longer, it is possible to cover the rest of the distance with the car.
The tour can be booked for a minimum of 3 people and a maximum of 10 people.
Day 1: Jodhpur to Bhenswara
We checkout from hotel after breakfast and head towards Bhenswara. First we drive with a jeep with bikes around 80 km. Then we will cycle in the county side. We can have our picnic lunch after 35 - 40 kms of cycling. We head forward after lunch, glimpsing through the life of rural Rajasthan amid. Bhenswara is situated at the foothills of the tenacious Aravallis, on the northern banks of the Jawai River.
Overnight stay will be in Bhenswara.
Cycling distance: 70 km.
Day 2: Bhenswara to Korta
We checkout from the hotel after breakfast. From Bhenswara we cycle towards Korta traversing through a pastoral landscape of villages and open fields. We will cycle through some beautiful, rural tribal villages well off the normally used track and will have our pack lunch on the way to stay at Korta.
Cycling distance: 50 km.
Day 3: Korta to Ranakpur
We will cross the hilly terrain of the Arravali Range.
Ranakpur is a village located near Sadri town in the Pali district of Rajasthan. Ranakpur is widely known for its marble Jain temple.
Cycling distance: approx. 75 km.
Day 4: Ranakpur to Narlai
Narlai is a village in Desuri Tehsil of the Pali district in Rajasthan. It lies at the base of a hillock crowned by a colossal statue of an elephant. There are several Hindu and Jain temples. The temples of Adinath and Lord Shiva are most prominent temples. The ceilings of these temples are decorated with fine murals. We can have our picnic lunch after 35 - 40 km of cycling. After lunch we can do cycling again for an hour to reach Narlai. Overnight we will stay in one of the most beautiful country resorts of this trip at Rawala Narlai.
Cycling distance: 40 km.
Day 5: Narlai to Kumbhalgarh
You will pass through a picturesque terrain as we pass through the Arravali range. After 3 - 4 hours of cycling we will have our lunch. We stay at Kumbhalgarh.
Cycling distance: 60 km.
Day 6: Kumbhalgarh Udaipur
You may visit Kumbhalgarh Fort in the evening or next day morning. Kumbhalgarh Fort is a Mewar fortress built during the course of the 15th century by Rana Kumbha enlarged through the 19th century. Kumbhalgarh is also the birthplace of Maharana Pratap the great king and warrior of Mewar. We will finish the cycling 60 km before Udaipur to avoid the main highway and traffic.
Cycling distance: 45 km.
Day 7: Udaipur
In the morning you may go for 10 km of cycling around the Udaipur lakes. You can also go on a sightseeing tour of Udaipur to visit the famous City Palace and Jag Mandir.
